I hope everything's okay!

I never figured out what was up with that chick's weird-ass eyebrows.

I think she was at ease in her own body.

If basic grooming habits require a lack of ease with one's body, I'm happy to bear the discomfort!

Were her eyebrows unhealthy or unsanitary or something? I associate basic grooming habits to be making oneself clean and appropriately tidy.

Many of her paintings seemed to indicate a very confident self image. She was born with what she had. She accepted what she was born with. She loved what she was born with.

That this society would discount her work to focus on her eyebrows is more odd to me than the very idea of pulling hair out of our bodies because we don't like where they grew - cosmetically. We go to such an effort to hate ourselves.

Grooming != hygiene. I never said anything that discounted her art. I just said she had some strange eyebrows.

I wasn't really meaning you when I said people discounting her art, I apologize for that inference. But sadly, instead of being widely known by the majority as a woman who did amazing art to help deal with her struggles, they hardly even remember her name, they just remember that she had "weird" eyebrows. What a world. I don't even know if it was routine to pull hair out of your body at that point in time. Was it? I don't really know the history of this bizarre practice.

Aww! Thanks sweety! I am here ocassionally. My grad program is nuts. I have little to no time for anything remotely recreational.

I have been maintaining my workouts thought. But, I injured myself in a stupid way on Monday. Once I am mostly healed from that, I am going to be back in the saddle.

Also, my hair is purple. I hope you don't hold it against me!

Things are good, but fucking nuts. Graduate school is just constant reading and writing. It is so worth it, though!
